This is the exploration music of world 3, The Wasted Pit.
I kinda wanted to bring something unexpected here, the beauty and mysticism contrasted with the battle layer (track 5: Noxious Waste)
which is more hectic and aggressive in tone. A stream of music with tones swimming in, diving out, layering and melding together.
Tone-wise I borrowed a Turkish stringed instrument called 'Ahenk' from my co-worker Niilo which became the main driving force
with it's intriguing microtonal intervals, playing chords and patterns on top of each other multiple times for a nice weird chorus-like effect.
The MOOG DFAM is at great play here with synthesizer sequences, Trumpets appearing here and there, the Yamaha CP with it's delay effects alongside the other main ingredient, the MOOG Animoog app on the iPhone which is excellent for those sliding notes and ethereal chords!
As the song is in 7/4, I think it has a fun cycle to it with repetitive patterns, kinda like a stream, in a toxic sewer, gotta go fast!
