This is the music for the safe zone of the game, The Chiming Tree.
I wanted this idea to represent a serene space, a place where the organic and mechanical are at uneasy peace with one another.
Instrument-wise I thought the acoustic voicing of a mandolin paired with chill and steamy mechanical drums could be a cool match
One feature idea I cut out from the game for various reasons was that this song would gain small key musical traits from previously visited worlds,
be it a distant screaming synthesizer, a dry rhythmic guitar or little twinklies from a bell.
That said, I wanted to represent that idea within this version of this track, ultimately and suddenly cutting back to normal and fading out one instrument at a time.
